January 26, 2026 — Romblon State University (RSU) renewed its institutional ties with Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College (OLOPSC) on Sunday as a 24-person delegation visited the campus to explore collaborative opportunities in education, research, and internationalization.

The delegation, led by RSU President Merian Mani, was welcomed by OLOPSC School President Dr. Armida Salvador Samaniego, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Angelie Marie L. Vizconde, and College Dean Dr. Ma. Lourdes C. Dimasakat, who oversees the institution’s College Department as part of its leadership team.

The visit focused on several key areas of potential collaboration. Discussions included modeling the TESDA assessment centers of OLOPSC for RSU’s future plans of building its own centers, a move that could enhance technical-vocational education opportunities for students.

The delegation also explored possibilities for research partnerships and internationalization initiatives, which could expand academic exchanges and joint scholarly endeavors.

The RSU representatives toured both the basic education department and college facilities, gaining insights into OLOPSC’s educational infrastructure and program offerings.

The tour allowed the visitors to assess potential areas for resource sharing and program development.

The productive day concluded at the O’Kafe, where President Samaniego graciously hosted dinner for the RSU delegation, providing an opportunity for socialization between the two institutions.

This visit marks a significant step in fostering inter-institutional cooperation between RSU and OLOPSC.
