BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTANCY

The Romblon State University’s BSA program is designed to develop knowledge, skills and values among the students that would meet the high standards of the Accountancy profession and the demanding challenges as well as the exacting requirements of Accountancy work. It aims to develop accounting professionals who are at par with the contemporary and global accountant with ethics and advocacies that would make them instruments for good governance and environmental stewardship.

Requirements
The Department of Accountancy admits the best qualified among the freshmen applicants. They must meet the admission requirements set by the Department and the University.
1. The Department determines those who are best qualified to pursue Bachelor of Science in Accountancy in the College of Business and Accountancy of Romblon State University.
2. The following, among others, are to be considered in determining those who are best qualified for the program:
a. RSU College Admission Test of 80%* or higher.

*Weighted Average of RSU Admission Result for BSA Applicants:
MATH - 35%
ENGLISH - 35%
SCIENCE - 15%
FILIPINO - 15%
TOTAL - 100%

b. A general average in Form 138 of 90% or higher, with no grade lower than 85% in English and Mathematics.
c. An interview rating of 85% or higher.
d. Passed the reading comprehension and abstract reasoning exam.
e. Other requirements as may be imposed by the department.
f. Passed the RSU Admission Test
g. Physically fit (CBC, X-ray, urinalysis, medical certificate)

FOR TRANSFEREES:
The Department will accept transferees only in highly meritorious cases. Transferees will be considered subject to the following conditions and requirements:
1. The student should have a cumulative general weighted average of at least 2.25 (not including P.E and NSTP).
2. The student must not have incurred a failing grade in any subject (including PE and NSTP).
3. A grade of 3.00 or 75% or its equivalent in any subject will be required to be enrolled again in the Department.
4. Passed the RSU Admission Test
5. Physically fit (CBC, X-ray, urinalysis, medical certificate)

FOR SHIFTERS FROM OTHER PROGRAM OR COLLEGES:
Shifters from other programs in RSU will be considered in the department provided the following conditions and requirements are complied with:
1. The student must have a cumulative general weighted average of at least 2.25 (not including PE and NSTP).
2. The student must not have incurred a failing grade in any subject (including PE and NSTP).
The student must not have any derogatory disciplinary record.
3. Passed the RSU Admission Test
4. Physically fit (CBC, X-ray, urinalysis, medical certificate)

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MAJOR IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

The Financial Management program prepares the graduates for various careers in financial management as well as in related fields, including but not limited to, corporate finance, investment management banking, credit, trust operations, insurance, foreign currency markets, money markets, capital markets, and other financial securities markets. The curriculum provides the graduate with knowledge on financial institutions and technical skills based on established financial theories, methodologies and various analytical tools. It also promotes an outlook that is based primarily on ethics, market integrity, regulations, good governance and competitive global perspective, necessary for effective financial decision making.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MAJOR IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

The Operations Management Program prepares students to manage the operations of manufacturing, agri-business, as well as service enterprises, focusing on the need to effectively and efficiently produce and deliver products and services on time and within budget. The program curriculum covers all aspects of operations within the organization, including the management of purchases, inventory, production, service quality, logistics, supply chain and distribution.
